As I make my way through the pictures from the ceremony of any given wedding, I notice a handful of things that I wish I would’ve told the couple or bridesmaids ahead of time…so I thought today’s post I could do just that. With so many things going on and all of the emotions leading up to and during the ceremony on your wedding day, we wanted to help ensure that you get the photos you dream about! So, allow us to share a few wedding ceremony tips today!

Smile! Seems pretty obvious and straight forward, right?! Well, it’s just a friendly reminder for the bride and groom as well as the bridal party as they make their way down the aisle that a sweet little smile goes a long way for the pictures!

Keep bouquet at hips when walking down the aisle. Just a simple reminder so that we can be sure to see your face!

Hold your 1st kiss! This way, we are sure not to miss it!

Share a kiss on your way back down the aisle when you are leaving the sanctuary after you’ve been announced! We like to ask our couples to stop for a brief second to share a kiss as they head out of the church to get a fun shot of them with all their guests behind them!

Be aware of the photography restrictions at your ceremony location. Trust me when I say that Mike and I truly respect the meaning of your ceremony and make sure to stay out of the way and remain discrete throughout the ceremony! But, we have run into certain venues and churches that have severely restricted where we are allowed to stand and photograph during your ceremony, and when that is the case, we respect the rules. However, you guys may be losing out on certain images that we are just unable to take or get close enough for, so keep that in mind when choosing your location.
